It bothers me when people do giveaways with “a thread with me” as the main prize, as if roleplaying with that person is a gift to be sought after. If it’s a roleplaying blog, why would someone have to “win” a thread with that person?
It really, really, really puts me off reblogging giveaways when I see ‘a thread with me’ among the ‘prizes’. Not only does it come across (in my opinion) as somewhat arrogant, even seeing it from the host’s perspective (i.e., not everyone can afford to buy prizes / has the know-how to create graphics / manips / whatever else, and their writing is the one thing they have to offer) causes me some confusion. See, RP is for fun and I’d hate for someone to ever feel obligated to RP with me simply because I ‘won’ a giveaway they hosted. If someone wants to use writing as a prize, why not offer to write a drabble for the winner instead?
To what end would I seek to control Midgardians? While easily manipulated, they are weak. Powerless. There are few on Midgard worth the trouble.
As for my brother, last week I had him burst out into spontaneous song at random intervals. That certainly made for an interesting night.
Don’t worry it’s when you don’t want his advice that he will happily provide it.
It was merely a suggestion, Fandral. I do wish you’d stop bringing it up at every opportunity. Frankly, I don’t care if you insist on keeping that hideous monstrosity above your lip.
YOU HAVE RETURNED TO US?!
[I’m not making promises, but I’m here and the ask box is open (which is an invitation for you guys to ask our Lokes questions) <33 I’ve kinda detached this blog from the ‘verse it was in too, so Loki now has a clean slate. ^^]
I am tentatively back from my indefinite hiatus, and now I’m curious to see how many of you are still out there.
